Saint Barnabas’ Dalston is an Anglican church plant in the heart of Hackney, established in 2010, with a particular mission to reach out to Dalston’s creative communities. It also has a thriving children and families’ ministry.

We are licensed under a Bishop’s Mission Order and have wonderful buildings to serve and reach out to the local community. We seek to be engaged with our particular culture, and excellence in the arts in their broadest sense is important to us. We are committed to the redemptive action of the gospel on every part of our lives. We have a small staff team focussing on music, children, and maximising the use of our buildings.

Through the Gospel, Saint barnabas dalston exists to love Jesus, to love one another, to make and nurture disciples, and to serve the world around us.

We worship Almighty God, our Father through whom we live, move and have our being as we fulfil His commands to first love Him, and to love our neighbour.

We welcome people from all walks of life to join us in experiencing the love of God in His Son Jesus.

We seek to encounter Jesus through his word and to grow in our love for Him through the keeping of His commands.

We recognise that we hold this treasure to be witnessed to all, that all may glorify God.

We prayerfully depend upon the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit to change our hearts and give us wisdom to live according to God’s desires.
